POETRY | LOVER

fall in love with someone who hears your wishes and does everything to grant them all; someone who hears your desperate pleas and comes in haste to hug and comfort you; someone who saves you not because you need to be saved but because he loves you so much he can’t bear to lose you.

fall in love with someone who brings you to places, showing you around while holding your hand; someone who always leaves a door open for you and is always either waiting patiently at the far end or running towards you. That’s how much he longs for you. That’s how much he wants to be with you. He’s willing to wait no matter how long it takes.

fall in love with someone who supports you in every thing you do and is always proud of you but then, scolds you for being so reckless and irresponsible at times; someone who helps you grow as a person not just as his person; someone who knows when to step back and watch you do your thing but instantly appears beside you whenever you stumble and fall; someone who guides you through everything.

fall in love with someone who remembers you even after you forget about him; someone who braves the oblivion just to get back to you; someone who cries so much for missing you that he even causes thunderstorm and rain; someone who lights you a lantern and always prays for you—to be with you—because he knows how much a prayer can do.

fall in love with someone who sees you at your brightest and at your darkest; someone who blooms flower whenever he’s with you and even creates snowfall to please you; someone who’s not afraid to shed a tear in front of you and lets you wipe it away; someone who’s not afraid to show you his weakness because you are his strength; someone who keeps his promises no matter what it takes.

fall in love with someone who falls for you, years after years and lives after lives; someone who sees your soul no matter how much the world changes–when the past turns into the present and the present turns into the future; someone who loves you in the spring, in summer, in autumn and in winter; someone who loves you in between equinoxes and eclipses.

fall in love with someone who lets you summon him not just when you need him but just whenever you simply want to see him; someone who always searches for you in the crowd and sees you instantly because he has his eyes on you and only for you; someone who looks at you as if it’s the first time he sees you—always lovingly.

and when you fall in love, you will know it’s him. he’ll be there with a buckwheat flower. his smile will reflect the light that radiates from you. you are his life in a thousand and thousands of lifetimes. he is your lover. he will prove to you that profound love can last for eternity—making all the sorrow of being apart worthwhile. When you find him, he’ll be standing there with the book he has always been reading since the first time you met him. When you find him, there will be no letting go. There will be no more days nor nights where your heart feels like breaking because you are yearning so much for him. He will be there and you will be there—whether it is here or there, now or then.

When you find him, time means nothing.

I just finished watching Goblin yesterday and I love it so much that I ended up writing this. I don’t know, I just felt the words came rushing at me all of a sudden. I know I had to write it down before I lost it. Let me know what you think. I’ll be posting my review of it sometime this weekend 🙂
