POETRY | SHIPWRECK

I sail into the chaos of emotions,
into the waves of my own thoughts.
I row to the embrace of the cold sea;
letting its crisp to consume me.

I am a shipwreck—
sinking, drowning in this cruel ocean

I am a shipwreck
navigating nonchalantly like a vagrant

I tried to paddle away from the voices;
the anxiety and sadness.
I cruised back to the positive current
yet islands away from the merriment.

I am a shipwreck but you anchored me away,
away from my humdrum boat.
I am a shipwreck but you anchored me back..
back to the shore.

You filled the cracks and crevices of my sinking vessel..

I’m a sailing ship and you’re my anchor
and together we navigate back to the shore.
You are my beacon; my way to home

With you, I am home.

I almost forgot that this piece exists. I originally wrote it for our 5SOS fanfiction on Wattpad, which remains unfinished up to this day. LOL Yes, I’m such a fangirl. It is supposed to be a song but I haven’t put any melody on it yet. I need a new guitar first. 🙂 I might post it here when I’m done with it. I hope you like it! xx
