POETRY | LOST SOUL – when words blend

She is never quite sure
of the road she’s taking
but “it’s okay”, she told herself
“no one is anyway”

She didn’t run away
though all she wants is to escape
but “it’s okay”, she told herself
“everyone is trapped anyway”

She smiles and laughs
in between self-loathing and cries
but “it’s okay”, she told herself
“break down anyway”

She believes in soul
and that hers is somewhere far
but “it’s okay”, she told herself
“you’ll find it anyway”

She’d like to believe that, really. She hopes it’s never too late then.

What a beautiful poem. I think it really speaks to the heart of some people who have a longing for always being somewhere else, but no where to go.
