I don’t know if it’s just in the Philippines, but there are so many tea going on with all the ~vloggers and influencers~ here. I can’t even keep up because the Youtubers I watch are not problematic 😂 So, I thought I’d share to you the lowkey (or maybe not) accounts that I watch but are 💯 quality content.
I didn’t know Max used to do beauty videos before because I think this is the first video of her that I stumbled upon:
I am such a sucker for narratives and she is so poetic. It’s her words that captured me. She once said before that her posts are not generic, and I must agree. I love how she’s open about things that actually matter, like mental health. She now does daily vlogging and you might think it’s just the same thing over and over again. It’s not. Daily vlogs let you see how real and raw someone’s life is. It’s not always eventful and it’s not always pretty, but there are always lessons to keep.
I just want to make it clear that before I knew Nina was Korean and into BTS, I am already subscribed to her, so this is definitely not biased 😂 Please do not ask me how I got into her channel. She’s probably on my Recommendations. If I remember it correctly, this is the first video of her that I saw:
Everything about her videos is so calm. Maybe, it’s her voice. I really look forward to her uploads because she rarely does! But, when she updates, you know it’s goooood. She has amazing arts and she named her plant Namjoon. Oof.
Also, she’s a vegan. I can’t do that yet but I’ve been more cautious about those stuff, the environment and all.
I LOVE LEARNING. This is the first video of Nadine that I’ve watched and I just knew I had to subscribe.
She has lots of great artworks in her videos and I love how she edits. Everything is playful! She’s so light and fun to watch! She also uploads videos where she will just have a chitchat with the viewers. You can listen to her talk while you are multitasking or something. I just really love to listen to other people’s thoughts about life. And her outro ‘this video is from my heart to yours’ is always heartfelt.
You probably know her as ‘elenasetareh.’ I know she has a completely different lifestyle from mine and my introvert self and broke state can’t keep up with all the travels she’s doing, but I really love the vibe of her videos! She’s been to 15 countries! And she has a killer playlist. One of her recent uploads made me cry.
I hate goodbyes. But in the q&a she did before she quoted this from a book called Walden:
I left the woods for as good a reason as I went there. Perhaps it seemed to me that I had several more lives to live and could not spare any more time for that one.
Goodbyes are necessary. Sometimes, we really need to leave something behind so we can grow. She said that life comes in chapters, and I remember saying the same thing but about friends.
The thought of the quote really comforts me somehow, but it definitely won’t dry out my tears. I am emotional like that.
I really take these videos too deeply if you haven’t noticed yet. LOL
#kahnfidence is what most of us lack or something we keep on working on – we might even work on it for the rest of our lives but that’s okay because at least, we are doing it. Ayn has a nice way of showing and empowering everyone to be confident. She’s funny and witty, too!
Ayn also released her own Morena the Label. It’s great to see her using her platform to spread awareness and for fighting for who she is. Aside from that, her very well-structured Virgo self is inspiring. Hahaha! Really, my brother is a Virgo, too. They do not suck at adulting at all! I don’t mean it as something like they do not struggle. They do, a lot. Just like any of us. It’s just that instead of just trying, they are actually doing it. Hard work always pays off in the end.
I am planning a #Japan2020 with a friend (yes, it’s still quite far ahead in the future because there are things and bills I still need to pay for before I can save up. I’m also helping my brother in college so yeaaaaa but I know it will happen! I’m claiming it!!!!) and I ended up watching videos of hostels and capsule hotels in Japan. That led me to Emma’s videos and I subscribed ever since. She’s originally from Australia, but Japan is her home now. The sense of home. I cried watching this.
I’ll end the list here with Justine. I’ve known her through 5SOS, but I’ve never really met her in person yet! I love her so much, though. Here is her latest upload and my heart hurts. I love you, Justine. Always. xx
These are my go-to channels, the ones I watch every time there is upload. I still watch other Youtubers but not as religiously as I do with these channels on the list. I just check others when I feel like it.
I just want to thank these Youtubers for doing what they love because that alone should already count for something. Keep creating 💫
So, who are the Youtubers you watch? Or are you not that invested in it anymore? Since, I don’t do much of social media, I am just really always on Youtube. I even discover new songs from various playlists there.
Here’s my favorite, by the way:
Thank you for reading! If you enjoy my writings, I hope you can support and buy me a coffee.
