You know what you want.
In fact, you want a lot of things that you do not even know which way to start. When the time comes that all these wants change, do not be disheartened. It is inevitable. You are changing and it is just normal for your heart to change. Even the count of your heartbeat was never the same as you were a kid.
Do not be disheartened.
These wants that you used to long for still led you here. It is not always bad to change.
You are fleeting, but you are also growing.
Found this on my phone that I wrote last April. I put at the end “20180428 | 2:38am” Perhaps, it is a reminder to myself. I sometimes forget what I want that I always keep saying “I don’t know what I want.” And I find it not true.
When I feel like “I don’t know what I want,” I try to look from within. It doesn’t have to be grand. It can be just the simplest thing. It doesn’t have to be a major goal yet. It can be as small as wanting a good cup of coffee, or an evening rain. It doesn’t have to be as far ahead as the future could be. It can be now. I believe that sooner or later, we will get to know what we really want – in the long run.
It helps when you stay true to yourself.
If we can’t be entirely true to the people around us (because we all have this facade, walls, barricade, or whichever you call it, built up so high), let us at least be honest to ourselves.
We owe at least that to ourselves. Growth is painful.

Gosh, I love this! And I wholeheartedly agree. I’ve told myself a lot of times, “I don’t know what I want.” Your post made me realize that it’s actually the opposite — there are A LOT of things that I want. A more accurate statement would be “I don’t know WHICH ONE I really want.” I guess I’ll never know unless I try all of them.

Aww, I’m glad! Yes, we can want a lot of things and I guess we just really have to try and do it. It goes back to ‘you’ll never know unless you try.’ So, let’s keep on trying. One day, we’ll get there 🙂
